Location of Airedale half way down Dogsthorpe Road. Now replaced by Airedale Close, I seem to remember some time ago hearing that one of the houses had the old stables behind it? Below is an aerial view of Airedale Close, I think the stables may be the building in the top right corner.

Joseph Peach is listed as living at Airedale, a substantial house on Dogsthorpe Road in the 1890 Kellys Directory.
In the 1891 Census:
Dogsthorpe Road Airedale
- Joseph Peach,37, South African Merchant, born Peterborough, Northants.
- Elizabeth Peach, wife, 37, born Sutton, Cambs
- Edward, son, 8, born Finsbury, London
- Edith, daur, 7, born Sutton, Cambs
- Percy, son, 6, born Sutton, Cambs
- Stanley, son, 4, born Sutton, Cambs
- Harriett, daur, 2, born Peterborough
- Winifred,daur, 8mths, born Peterborough
I couldn't find Joseph in the 1881 Census, but of course there is the possibility he was in South Africa at the time.
From the ages of the children it would appear Joseph and Elizabeth married in the early 1880s, I found a likely candidate in 1881 in Ely, close to Sutton where Elizabeth was born. From the birth places of the children we can tell they moved to Peterborough about 1888.
Joseph died in 1897 at only 43 years,
